Open Question: Is ok to take Xanax while you have your kids in your care?

My doctor prescribed me Xanax to help with low-dose anti-depressant anxiety. I am a little worried about taking Xanax, but because it can form a habit, I am not a true recipient of the first tablet. However, I am so nervous today, I think I will jump out of my skin feel! I usually use meditation to reduce anxiety, but for some reason it really high today. Are you sure you medication, but my children in my care? This thing will be detrimental to their ability to take care of my child? I have never really used any of an anti-anxiety drugs before. I read the side effects, but still .. I am a bit cautious to resort to taking.
